So, Oppo, who gets to drive this weekend? Something gives me the feeling that it won't be VDG...

According to F1 Fanatic's Twitter, Sauber nominated 3 drivers, but the FIA only accepted Ericsson and Nasr, preventing Giedo van der Garde from competing. If that's true, it makes this a whole lot more interesting. While Sauber still seem to be in the wrong, I believe that vdG would have to go to court again to protest the FIA's decision and overruling, and it would seem that having FOM and the FIA (read: Ecclestone's bribe money) on your side would be massively advantageous, and even if he does protest this specific case, the ruling would come after the Grand Prix, meaning that Sauber higher-ups couldn't be arrested at Melbourne this year. It seems like van der Garde is going to get a seat, but I'm guessing that it'll be after Australia on the grounds that they have no seat made for him, no safety belts made for him and he hasn't passed the safety tests (getting out of the car in the specified time, being able to turn the car to neutral within the time limit, etc.). I believe that that sort of thing has happened before.

only time will tell, all i know is that if i was in VDG shoes, id be pissed too, if i was screwed by a professional team. But what i dont understand is why he wants to race for them. Id just want my money back.
